A police officer will start £29,907 which will rise in increments over 7 years to £48,231.
Upon promotion, police sergeants will earn £51,408, rising to £53,943.
Police inspectors will earn £61,197, rising to £66,201.
Annual leave entitlements increase with length of service. A full-time police officer will be entitled to 25 days (200 hours) of annual leave. There is an leave increase to 30 days (240 hours) at 10 years of service.
All police officers have the opportunity to join the police pension scheme.

Officers have the opportunity to sign up to our Force Sports Association. This gives them access to our on-site gyms in varying locations, as well as the opportunity to represent us in a range of different sports.
Police officers receive training inputs throughout their career which can be for police procedures, officer safety, first aid, driving skills, IT, health and safety etc.
Some specialist roles require specialist training which may be completed out of force and/or with partner agencies.
Optional training is available for things like coaching, mentoring, peer support, trauma support etc.
