Devon and Cornwall Police are looking for members of the community who are wishing to support their local Neighbourhood Policing Team in a volunteering capacity. As a Local Policing Support Volunteer (LPSV) you will be in a varied position to help your local police with a large variety of their duties, from office support which could include assisting with retrieving intelligence or communicating a good news story. We are looking for someone who has an understanding around the importance of effective community engagement, so communication skills and an understanding of diversity are key. They will also need to be comfortable with using computers, of which will include updating and accessing social media platforms and offering support around the use and updating of websites. Our Local Policing Support Volunteers (LPSV) support police personnel with administration and office-based tasks and take part in community research. Mileage expenses for personal vehicles will be paid at 45p per mile. We would not consider applications where the applicant lives more than 25 miles from the base location for this role |
